We regret to inform our audience that the EELS concert originally scheduled for 4 April, 2022 has been cancelled. Tickets already purchased may be redeemed online or at the main ticket offices of Müpa Budapest until 4 May, 2022. Thank you for your understanding!
Mark Oliver Everett and the band he founded in 1991, EELS, present their latest studio album, Earth To Dora, on a world tour with almost 40 stops. The pandemic prevented live performances of the material from the critically acclaimed album, but now that the forced delay is over, the full force of the hurricane is released. “We’ve got a lot of pent-up energy from all the time spent cooped-up and unable to rock,” said Everett. “We always have the greatest time playing live, but this is gonna get crazy. Attendees will want to keep their cameras rolling, because we may explode.”
A funny clip was also made for one of the songs, Are We Alright Again, which features Mad Men lead actor Jon Hamm, who is himself an EELS fan. Everett hoped the song would become “the feel-good hit of the feel-worst year.”
This concert of the Bartók Spring is presented by Müpa Budapest as a joint event with Akvárium Klub.
