Liszt Prize-winning performer and songwriter Péter Gerendás is a leading figure in Hungarian popular music. Impossible to pigeonhole and always capable of reinventing himself, he is an artist who sets an example with his open-mindedness. He also has a large family, and many of his children have chosen musical careers. Indeed, the other three members of the Gerendás ‘Quartet’ that performs at the House of Music Hungary are also highly accomplished musicians.
Dániel Gerendás started to play the drums at age three, and has become known as the drummer of some of the most popular Hungarian bands. He currently lives in Los Angeles, where he runs his own studio and works as a producer with top American artists. Hanna Gerendás is travelling home from the Caribbean for the concert. She has toured the world as a singer-pianist, visiting more than 60 countries in recent years. Ruben Gerendás, multi-instrumentalist, session musician and music producer, bassist of Azahriah’s production, has the knack of eliciting music from anything and anyone.
