The collective and concerted presentation of the values of contemporary Hungarian music: ever since its foundation in 1996, this has been the chief mission of the Budapest Music Center as a concert organizer, record label and information centre. Home to a Concert Hall, a Library with a music collection of 100,000 items, and the Opus Jazz Club, which showcases the latest in European jazz, BMC’s building in Mátyás Street hosts 400 concerts a year.

In the vicinity of BMC, you can park your car in the underground car park of the Studium Office Building, in the open-air car park on Csarnok tér, and in public spaces.

The Északi Járműjavító (Northern Rolling Stock Repair Shop) was built between 1884 and 1886, and was one of the largest complex of industrial halls in Europe at the time. After years of renovation and conversion, it became home to the Hungarian State Opera’s new logistics and arts centre in 2020.

CATERING
There is a snack bar at the Eiffel Art Studios.

PARKING
There are 90 parking spaces available in the Eiffel Art Studios’ own car park, which can be used free of charge with a ticket. Free parking is also available on Kőbányai Road.

ACCESSIBILITY
The Eiffel Art Studios is wheelchair accessible, making it easy for wheelchair users to get around.

The House of Music is a home for music and an opportunity for personal connection to the world of sounds in a place that redefines the notion of cultural spaces inside and out. It offers music-related programmes at different levels and in different forms, always keeping in mind the three main pillars of its mission: immediacy, the encouragement of discovery and unrepeatable experiences.

Food & Drink
The House of Music Hungary has a restaurant, a café and a snack bar. The latter is open until whatever performance is on.

Cloakroom
The cloakroom is free of charge, and visitors to the exhibitions are required to use it. There are also free lockers for bags and small coats.

Parking
If you come by car, you can use the Museum Underground Car Park, an 800-lot facility. It is accessible from Dózsa György út, between Damjanich and Dembinszky utca. From the underground car park, the House of Music Hungary can be reached in a few minutes’ walk through City Park, with signposts to guide you along the way.
 Bicycles can be locked to the bike stands outside the House of Music Hungary.

The House of Music Hungary is completely barrier-free and easily accessible for wheelchair users. Barrier-free routes within the building are indicated by pictograms.


Hungarian National Gallery

The Hungarian National Gallery is the largest public collection to present the history of fine art in Hungary. Its collections range from the founding of the state to the present day, from the earliest Hungarian relics to contemporary art. The gallery currently has a collection of 110,000 works of art, the highlights of which can be seen in the permanent exhibitions, while the museum’s temporary displays offer deeper insights into the work of individual artists.

In the Hungarian National Gallery a café awaits the visitors. It is open during the opening hours of the Gallery.

Cloakroom

For safety reasons, the use of the cloakroom is obligatory and free of charge. Valuables can be deposited during the visit in our lockable safes or in a “take and return” linen bag available free of charge in the cloakroom.

Parking

Entering the area of the Buda Castle by car is only possible with an entry permit. The gallery can be accessed directly on foot or in a wheelchair, or can be reached by public transportation based on the information provided on the venue’s website.

Accessibility

For disabled visitors access is provided in Building B. Level access elevators are available in Building C.

Budapest’s newest cultural and community venue on Margaret Island reopened its doors to the public in May 2022. The former Bauhaus-style mineral water bottling plant can host chamber performances as well as complex programmes in multiple performance spaces.

The venue can be reached on foot or by public transport. You can leave your car in the paying car park on the northern end of the island.

Accessibility
The entire courtyard and ground floor of the Kristály Színtér is accessible to wheelchair users.

Müpa Budapest is one of Hungary’s best-known cultural brands and one of the most modern cultural institutions, bringing together the different arts in a unique way: here classical and popular music rendezvous with jazz and world music, opera, contemporary circus and dance with literature and film. It was created in 2005 to present and make accessible new trends and tendencies, while respecting the traditions of national and European art, and to offer high quality experiences to both connoisseurs and the general public.

In Müpa Budapest, you can eat or have refreshments at P’Art Restaurant and Café, or at the mobile snack bars you can find in the foyer and on the upper floors before the performances and during the intervals.

Parking
You can use Müpa Budapest’s underground and surface parking facilities free of charge with a non-free ticket for one of the day’s performances. The parking discount provided by such a ticket is valid for one entry and exit on the day of the performance.
Free bike storage is available for those arriving by bicycles.


National Dance Theatre

Budapest’s unique new cultural venue, the National Dance Theatre, opened its doors in Millenáris Park at the beginning of 2019. The building, equipped with the latest in theatre technology and featuring special architectural solutions, offers a theatre and chamber theatre for dance lovers, as well as rehearsal rooms for professional dancers. The foyer of the building is a community space open for visitors to the park, making the Millenáris even more integrated in the urban texture of the capital.

Parking
Parking for guests of the National Dance Theatre is available in the Széllkapu underground car park at the discounted price. The discount is only available for users of the Széllkapu underground car park, for up to 4 hours. To claim your discount, have your parking slip validated at the box office of National Dance Theatre, before the performance.
There are more parking spaces in the underground car parks of Millenáris and Mammut, as well as in public spaces.

The Pesti Vigadó and its predecessor, the Redoute, have been the home of the highest culture and the centre of social life since 1833, with concerts by Ferenc Liszt, Ferenc Erkel, Béla Bartók, Brahms, Saint-Saëns and Debussy. Reopened in 2014 as the headquarters of the Hungarian Academy of Arts, the Pesti Vigadó is one of Europe’s most important centres for the arts and a perfect venue for cultural and artistic events, with a new exhibition always on the programme.

RaM-ArT Theatre

RaM-ArT Theatre is the playhouse of the Radnóti Miklós Community Centre in the 13th District of Budapest, which was opened in March 2023.
In addition to cultural events, this multifunctional space can also host gala dinners and corporate events.
The RaM-ArT Theatre is an inclusive community space where prose and musical theatre performances, dance productions, jazz, classical and popular music concerts can harmoniously coexist with events for families and children.

CATERING
VakVarjú Restaurant is in the building, and awaits guests both before and after the performances.

PARKING
Parking is available in the surrounding streets, a metered parking zone between 8 am and 10 pm.

ACCESSIBILITY
The entire area of the RaM-ArT Theatre is wheelchair accessible, making it easy for wheelchair users to get around.
