Sergei Krylov is a celebrated violinist of our time, a regular guest of prestigious concert halls and orchestras. Hungarian audiences have already had a chance to admire the sparkling, vivid musicality, poetic intensity and magical sound of his playing. He also enjoys conducting and often directs his fellow musicians while playing the violin. Since 2008, as artistic director of the Lithuanian Chamber Orchestra, he has demonstrated his uniqueness in a wide range of styles and genres, from baroque to contemporary music. As a regular guest, he has appeared with the Russian National Orchestra, Filarmonica della Scala, Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France, and Budapest Festival Orchestra, and collaborated with many leading conductors, such as Mikhail Pletnëv, Jukka-Pekka Saraste, Vasily Petrenko, Vladimir Jurowski, Valery Gergiev, and Marin Alsop. At the Debrecen and Győr concerts of the Bartók Spring, he will be the soloist in popular compositions by Bartók and Mendelssohn, with Imre Kollár and the Kodály Philharmonic Orchestra as his partners.
